Last week, I posted my Top 50 rock/pop songs from my college years (1992-96). Now I'm following that up with my Top 50 country songs during that same time period.
To recap the rules: To qualify for this list, the song has to have been released between the beginning of 1992 and the end of 1996. While some of these may technically have been released BEFORE I started college or AFTER I finished college, it was easier to just focus on 1992-1996 than to split hairs on specific dates within those years. The only negative of the 1992 cutoff on the front end is that it eliminates some early gems from Alan Jackson (like "Dallas"), Clint Black (like "Killin' Time" and "Better Man") and, of course, Garth Brooks (too many to list). However, rules are rules and I'm going to abide by them.
This list wasn't quite as tough as the previous rock/pop list, but it was still tough and I still had to omit some songs that I really liked. Having said that, here we go...
